ÅF was invited to give lectures at The 2nd Conference on Fuel Conservation in Build-ings in Iran 26th & 27th Feb 2003. Representing ÅF was Peter Muth from ÅF Installation in Gothenburg and Egil Öfverholm from the Swedish Energy Agency.
Mr Muth presented a paper " Integrated building and installation solutions with dynamic control - future scenario in Sweden" written in co-operation with Engelbrekt Isfält who is Assistant Professor at The Royal Institute of Technology, department of Building sciences. The paper discusses the importance of using the building structure as an active part to control the comfort in office buildings, when looking for energy efficient solutions.
Mr Öfverholm presented the paper "General energy management in buildings from a government point of view. -A review of the Swedish governments efforts and results after 30 years.". The paper discusses how Sweden has managed to decrease the energy use for one-family buildings from 325 to 180 kWh/m2. The discussion includes both changes in regulations and technical improvements.
